1) What do I look for in a website design? Clean, Aligned Center, Limited Columns, Banner, Depth to page (ie, screen photos, backgrounds), Keep It Simple Navigation (make it easy for your potential customers to move around on your website), Larger text, Logos, Headers to text information.

2) What is the first step in ordering my website? Taste, likes dislikes (look at other sites, make notes of what you like and dislike. Do you want your Navigational buttons to be buttons or text. Do you want your Navigaitonal buttons top or left. What are the needs of our buisness (ie., photo gallery/brochure, educate your potential customers, portray your business image.....

3) How do I choose my URL? - Options a) Business Name, b) Slogan, c)Keyword Phrase, d)community

4) What do I look for in a web design business? Are they offering customized services/design. Do they set up internal keyword phrases, metatags, and business descriptions? What type of maintenance packages do they offer? Do they offer maintenance packages that fit your needs/budget (ie. revisions as needed, monthly, quarterly, annually) Do you own the website or are you locked into their company after site is developed?
What if I can't find an example of the website I want? Make sure you get a contract that the end result will be what you want for your business image.
